            About Us/History

The Hare Raisers have been around since 2006! We love to volunteer and do community service projects. We've done stockings for soldiers, Thanksgiving meals for the Little Village residents, Christmas presents for children at the Gaylord Area Community Meal, presents and visits at Aspen Ridge Retirement Home, and many other things. My mom loves to do crafts and art projects so the kids have things to enter into the Otsego County Fair in August. The Hare Raisers are proud to say that we have won Club of the Year twice! Some members of the club also like to participate in 4-H and ARBA shows around the state.

Our meetings usually last a few hours and are held at the Brown's home or Aspen Ridge Retirement Home. We have them on Sunday afternoons at 2pm or Saturday mornings at 10:30am. During some months we will have meetings twice a month, especially as we get closer to the county fair. We always plan the next meeting date to hopefully work with everyone's schedule. Our club also likes to do field trips if we have the money to spare. We do fundraisers throughout the year to make money for the club.

We really appreciate involved parents. We believe it's important for the kids to have their parents involved with their projects!
